Greetings, Now that we have 2" of snow on the ground, I believe this officially marks the end of the car show season. I do however, remember last spring the Toppers car show was held right after 4" of snow, so you never know. Somewhere some litte town will have a car show as part of their Christmas tour of lights! Looking forward to next Tuesdays Christmas Party? I sure am. Larry Heyd has done a great job of putting it all together and if you still want to go, contact Larry at 293-3377 for more info. As usual, there will be prizes, a video presentation of last summers carshow and lots of other great things to cap off what has been a a memorable year for this organization. Unlike President Clinton, who after eaving office is writing his memoirs in a multi-million dollar book deal, I've turned down many offers top do the same and will instead use this space to accomplish what little I have to say. At the start of the year I took it upon myself to make sure that this club had many opportunities to get together and party or celebrate why we are an organization. Early in the year I asked for volunteers to form an activities committee to which Marv, Larry, Greg and Matt volunteered. Two meetings into the year these gentlemen put together many of the activities you've enjoyed: Pizza Party, Chili Carroll Shelby Cookoff, Steak Fry, Trip to Paula's in Mooreton, ND, Trip to Commorant Pub, Trip to Ada, Mn., August meeting and picnic in Lindenwood Park, Fall Steak Fry, Color Run to Pelican Lake and many others. If you enjoyed these activites these are the gentlemen to thank, they are the one's who made this club go. If you want to do more of the same in 2003, get involved! If asked to be on a committee, please consider it. If asked to organize a activity, how about volunteering. The strength of this club is the variety of our membership, please let your voice and talents be heard. That being said, 2003 will mark some changes for us. Elton's column will give you some insight into changes Valley Ford has had to make regarding their relationship with us. As you read Elton's column, remember that life constantly reafirms that for every door that closes, another one opens. At the Christmas Pary I'll have some new information regarding new possibilities for our annual car show. If you haven't visited our web site in the past couple of weeks, you're going to like what Tim has done to it. A new layout to guide you, and lots of other changes have been added. I think you'll find that the changes allow for you to get around the site easier. Great job Tim! Lastly, I've throughly enjoyed being your president the last year. Thanks for the honor, but now, one unemployed past president needs to hand the gavel off to your new, unemployed president, Greg. Thanks to all of you for your support in the past, I look forward to staying involved in lots of other ways in the future. Best wishes from Susan and I to all for a Happy Holiday season and look forward to seeing you Tuesday night! Craig
