Hi Mustang Fanatics! Well, it's that time again...you guessed it-ELECTIONS. We have a slate of officers, sort of.. But I'm sure if you want to jump in, you can! There is a lot to do this month besides elections. The jacket issue will be discussed. There were some nice jackets and a stitched Northstar Mustangs logo would look sharp. I really think an option of a different jacket for those who want one would be okay. It is nice to see all the same jackets, but I don't know, any jacket is good advertising for the club. I though a wiring diagram of a late 70's Ford showing how an electric choke is connected would be valuable. When I got my '66 Mustang the choke was not connected right and it really didn't work right. From the diagram you can see that it should be connected directly to the alternator. I wasn't sure how it should be connected so it didn't drain the battery or start heating when the key was on, but the engine wasn't running. If it is connected to the stator it only gets power when the alternator is turning. So if you plan to update to a new carburetor, remember to connect it properly. By the way, if anyone is interested in the editor job, just speak up! Don't all scramble to get it. If you have anything you would like to see, let me know. I have to find an article on the newer Mustangs, or would you rather articles on older Fords? On a lighter note, the December meeting will be arranged by Larry, but we need to know how many will be going. It's always a good time. See you at the meeting. Remember, this is the election of new officers of YOUR club. Elton
