Hey Ford Enthusiasts! Some great events this past week or so. On Saturday, June 30, we had 5 Mustangs from the club trek to Ada for the parade and car show. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. Included was a quick alternator replacement (which didn't fix the problem)!! Lots of nice cars, lots of Fords! They plan to have a show again next year. The Valley Ford Thunderbird showing was on July 3. There were 4 T-Birds, red, black, yellow and blue, one Bullitt Mustang and a Focus. We could look at the Bullitt, sit in it, but drive -NO! Why? It seems there were 2 Bullitt Mustangs on the tour, but Bismarck was hard on cars. Apparently, speed shifting is not a "fool proof" method of shifting. So they didn't want to lose the remaining Bullitt Mustang. No one even mentioned the Focus (not surprising, nothing special). Thanks to Craig who had his '69 Mach I there to relate the Bullitt to the original. Yes I know the original was a '68 GT but hey, how many knew? Not many!! Anyway, with a 56 T-Bird and Craig's Mach I for center pieces, the T-Birds were displayed. Valley Ford had a good day for Valley - they sold 4, 2003's. All the buyers of the 2002 got to drive a car and then pick out the color of their car. Craig and I got short drives. Come to the meeting and hear about it. There will be some things to talk over at the next meeting to get ready for the car show. I won't be there, but hope to pass along some information to Matt or someone. What about getting together at Kroll's on 45th Street on Tuesday, July 31? How about 7:00? See you at the show. Elton
