January Meeting - January 9, 2001

We met at Valley Ford

Matt gaveled the meeting to order precisely at 6:41.

The Treasurers Report was "pay your dues now".

Old Business

The web page was down for 4 days about 15 Dec.

Talk about web page.

-Craig said some pages have a preferred vendor list.

-Stuart asked if we could have a "For Sale" page.

Tim came late. He has been working on the web page.

-The host of the page said they would start charging us for the space.

-Tim said the preferred web page would be working tomorrow.

-Tim said he could put a "For Sale" page on the web site.

New Business

Somebody wanted to know if we would have a steak fry next month.

-How about a pizza night? Tour of powder coating plant?

-Tour of Global Electric Cars? Tour of engine builder?

-Tour of M&J Auto? Tour of Tranny shop?

Greg will call tranny shop to see if we can have tour for next meeting>

It will be announced in next newsletter if he can arrange it.

Jay attended a Kanola meeting in Thief River Falls. They touted the many uses of Kanola oil.

-It can be used in engines. So clean you can lick the dipstick. Reduces wear by 20%.

reduces engine temp by 25 degrees. It will cost $1.50 per quart. It can also be used

for hydraulic fluid and is environmentally friendly.

Elton still not elected.

Greg brought up our car show.

Meeting degraded to chaos. Talking "Topper's" Car show. 2 or 3 conversations at once.

Set our car show for 21 July.

Todd moves we give past pres. an oil change as a door prize. Elton 2nds.

Passed unanimously except Craig. Nobody cared or listened to him. Who is he anyway?
